We have a 7-night minimum stay during the winter months, and access can be challenging during heavy snowstorms. If you're experienced with mountain driving and have a four-wheel-drive vehicle, it’s no problem at all. However, if you're not comfortable with winter conditions or only have all-wheel-drive or front-wheel-drive, we recommend considering other accommodations.

ABOUT THE CABIN

Our modern cabin is a clean, cozy space nestled in a thriving aspen grove at the base of the Tetons. The living space has an open floor layout with a fully equipped kitchen, large island, and a comfy Living room with a Full-sized sofa couch. A large balcony is located on the west side of the home where you can drink your morning coffee, watch the sunset through the trees and view an assortment of wildlife. The single bedroom has a Queen-sized bed and is next to the bathroom which is equipped with a shower/tub combo and a washer/dryer combo.

Enjoy the air conditioning in the summer months. The living room and bedroom are each equipped with ceiling fans and cove (radiant) heating for the winter. The bathroom has in-floor heating under the tile for those cold winter mornings.

THINGS TO DO IN THE AREA

Teton Valley is known for its breathtaking views and beautiful hiking trails. The Teton Valley also offers fishing or floating the Teton River, and fly-fishing the Snake River. During the winter enjoy skiing, snow-shoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and more. Tetonia is the perfect basecamp for your vacation needs as it is a gateway to Jackson Hole (52 miles), Grand Teton National Park (55 miles), and Yellowstone Park (92 miles). Cliff’s Teton Retreat is located only a short 9 mile drive to Driggs and 18 miles from Victor. Between the two towns you will find great shops, restaurants, cafes, breweries, a distillery and even a cidery. There are 3 different Golf Courses in the Teton Valley and for skiers, Cliff’s is only 12 miles from Grand Targhee ski resort!

​​​​​​​Guests will have access to the entire living space which is located on the second floor above the garage. This space is a small, cozy space and recommended for no more than 4 people. Guests will also have access to the entire outdoor area of the property. The guests will not have access to the garage. However, there is plenty of space for guests to park in the drive directly in front of Cliff's Teton Retreat. Since we are located a bit off the beaten path, you will want a 4WD vehicle during the winter months. Our plowing service does a great job of getting to the home cleared out in the morning when it snows. However, we still recommend a good winter vehicle to make things a bit easier on yourself.

Getting around is simple from this home, making it a perfect basecamp for exploring the Tetons and Yellowstone. Grand Teton National Park is 1 hr 5 min (46.8 mi) away, with Yellowstone’s West Entrance at 1 hr 36 min (91.9 mi) and South Entrance at 2 hr 12 min (97.3 mi). You can also access hiking and outdoor activities in Teton Valley, often called the quiet side of the Tetons. Grand Targhee Ski & Summer Resort is 25 min (12.7 mi), and Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is 58 min (43.2 mi).
